Get to Know Me
As a young child I was hospitalized several times. My own pediatricians were role models for me and influenced my decision to become a doctor. I’m married with three children – two in college, and one in high school. I serve as vice-president of the Medical Society of Delaware.
Why I Treat Children
My interest in pediatrics was solidified through my mentor in med school who guided my development and made it clear that pediatrics was the choice for me.
How I Try to Make A Difference
When running the allergy clinic at Dover Air Force Base, a young man went into severe anaphylactic shock and subsequent cardiac arrest following an allergy shot. Our team quickly mobilized, and were able to save him. A few years later, I had a chance to meet him again and hearing about him and his life was a very gratifying experience.
